APTAC Conferences Conference Presentations
Presentations are posted to the APTAC web site within the members section. Go to http://www.aptac-us.org/new/APTAC_Members/ and use your login, then click on Resource and Download Library. Conference presentations are low on that page. Presentations from several previous conferences are posted here.
APTAC Conferences Images from GM museum
In the basement of the Marriott Rennaissance was a small museum of GM cars. The hotel complex was a maze that included the 70-story hotel and four tours making up GM's headquarters. This is a compressed file of 20 images. Click to download, save to your hard drive and open the ZIP file with WinZip or another compression software. Review the images with whatever image viewing software you have and delete what you don't want.
APTAC Conferences Images from The Henry Ford
The Henry Ford is where our Wednesday night awards banquet was held. This is a huge collection of artifacts that Henry Ford started gathering. It includes exhibits on the development and influence of cars (of course), but also exhibits on furniture, popular culture items, a rare copy of the Declaration of Independence, the bus on which Rosa Parks took her stand, and many, many more items. Again, this is a Zip file you can download, unpack and then review the images. Some are a little blurry but I left them for your review.

APTAC Conferences 1957 Chevrolet
Another classic car shown at the GM museum.
APTAC Conferences Kennedy Car
This is the car JFK was riding in when shot. It is sitting at The Henry Ford.
APTAC Conferences Last Horse-Drawn Carriage
This is the last horse-drawn carriage used to transport the U.S. President. Used by Theodore Roosevelt, it was retired early in the 20th Century in favor of the new automobiles. Used for awhile to haul groceries for the White House, it was finally retired with the White House staffer who last used it.
